OR 2024 is the International Conference on Operations Research, jointly organized by the German Operations Research Society (GOR), the Austrian Society for Operations Research (ÖGOR), and the Swiss Operations Research Society (SVOR/ASRO). This conference is a place to exchange ideas and interact with other academics, researchers, and practitioners in the fields of Operations Research, Management Science, Data Science, and Analytics. The OR 2024 will take place from September 3-6, 2024 on the downtown campus of the Technical University of Munich.

Dr. Luce is an experienced researcher in applied mathematics, and author of numerous publications in the fields of numerical linear algebra and optimization. He holds a Ph.D. from Technical University of Berlin.

Dr. Bixby has over twenty years of experience in the optimization software business. Prior to his role as Gurobi CSO, Dr. Bixby held the Gurobi CEO role since co-founding Gurobi in 2008. Prior to Gurobi, Dr. Bixby co-founded CPLEX Optimization, Inc. in 1987. CPLEX was acquired by ILOG, Inc., in 1997, after which he served on the ILOG Board of Directors, was manager of the ILOG CPLEX Development Team, President of the ILOG Technical Advisory Board, and General Manager of ILOG’s Semiconductor Business Division.

Dr. Marika Karbstein studied mathematics with economics and finished her PhD in mathematics at the Technical University of Berlin.

Kostja holds a Ph.D. in Operations Research from the University of Paderborn (Germany). He joined Gurobi in 2015 after many years of experience in the development and design of decision support systems using mathematical optimization. Before joining Gurobi he worked at Daimler Research & Development and as a lecturer at the University of Paderborn. Since 1998, before focusing on optimization and during his studies he continuously worked as system administrator, software developer and support engineer for an IT service company.
